How can I upload Garmin img files into the Garmin Explore app?

I have a bunch of img files that contain backcountry bike trails, hikes and ski touring trails that I want to put on the explore app so that when I am out in the backcountry and have lost signal I can see the trail and my inReach location in explore and know where to go. How can I upload these to the explore app?

No. You can create custom image overlays for Handhelds.

Explore only accepts gpx files.

I don't think GPX files will work for a whole bunch of trails.

Yes i know. But I want to see these overlays on the Garmin explore or earthmate app.

A single gpx file can contain multiple tracks. If you import such a file into Explore you will have a new collections containing multiple tracks.
