multiple waypoints displaying during navigate function

Exported a route/track from GAIA GPS to my Garmin 6s Pro with Garmin Explore (all done on android phone)

I go to Navigate - Select course - Do Course

my issue is, it is showing many, many waypoints along the route. It is displaying them in a DD coordinate format. I just want it to show the line/route and no waypoints nor coordinates. I have a 6s Pro solar and a 5s plus and I have never had this issue.

I don't think that you can prevent the watch from displaying the waypoints. What you could do is to check if you can export the track without waypoints from GAIA, or delete them in Garmin Explore (or just don't sync them). For me, waypoints are are separated from the track or route in Garmin Explore.
