There is a feature in Explore to start tracking from the website (as opposed to on the actual device). When signed in as the account admin, you can click on the last known GPS location and a window will appear. You can then select the waypoint icon and choose a tracking interval. I depend on this feature to locate my dog if he gets lost. Yesterday he jumped the fence in my backyard, and I was unable to initiate tracking due to an error "Unable to initiate tracking on [last name, first name] when tracking is already initiated and is in a pending state." Tracking had not been initiated, and there was no other indication it was in a pending state, or that my device would be unusable when I needed it.
I'm livid. I already emailed Garmin about this, but I have very little confidence that they will come through with a solution. So I am reaching out to the community to hopefully find an answer before I consider going after a full refund. Thanks for and help you can offer. Stay safe.
