Other people with the same issues with Garmin Explore on Android?

When the app is working correctly it is a very useful app on my phone, but I have some issues, I'm curious whether I am the only one or whether others also have the same issues.

-running in background on gives problems with notifications on the watch from garmin connect from time to time (not always). They do not always show, when not using garmin explore I have no issues with those notifications

-with background off the app looses connection to my watches (fenix 5 plus/fenix 6x pro) from time to time. Force close the app does resolve that issue almost every time

-the phone detects high cpu usage without me using the app version 2.18.0 (502089) every couple of weeks or so (I have seen it 3 or 4 times now) I haven't found the reason why.

-I guess related to my devices: creating a course in garmin Explore and syncing it to the watch gives me a course without real track data, so I can't follow it. Importing a gpx with a track/route and syncing that to the fenix watches did work. Send a course from garmin connect to 1 watch and performing a sync does work to get a usable course on the other watch (collection synced to both).

Some things I would like to see in Garmin Explore:

-Garmin explore listed in the navigation menu, so you can start navigation from within another app (request done using the site)

-import a map file, so you can use the same map as on the connected device (I still have to request this one)

-make the app more stable (I guess they are working on it)

  • I have seen some of these issues. The app won't sync when it's in the background (you have to actually open the app), and I quite often get 'sync failed' notifications on my Fenix 6x - I have to remove the watch and re-add it in order to get it working again, which then means my most recent activity won't sync.
