Apnea software Mk2i

A good computer Mk2i, bought mainly for freediving (apnea) and triathlon (running, swimming, cycling).
Upset by the unfinished software in the APNEA mode. A very poor set of programs and settings in freediving mode. There is no training mode in the pool, static mode. Although the watch is positioned as a diver.
For example: The "Shearwater Teric" has two APNEA modes, Depth and Pool. There is a very cool function, setting the depth sensor. You can adjust the depth and delay time for turning on and off the dive.

Learn more about setting up a depth sensor.
For example, we set the Start depth (enable dive recording) to 0.6m and the response delay time to 5 seconds, which means that, having plunged to a depth below 60cm and having been on it for more than 5 seconds, the computer Starts turns on the dive recording. We can also set the depth and delay of the finish of the dive. We set the depth to 0.4m and the delay time for the Finish actuation to be 7 seconds, which means that after surfacing more than 40cm from the surface and staying there for more than 7 seconds, the computer will determine that you have finished and stop recording the dive It is IMPORTANT that the Start delay time “5 sec” is added to the total dive time, and the Finish delay time “7 sec” is subtracted from the total dive time and thus the time is clean.
This feature, with fine tuning of depth and response time delay, is very important and essential for pool workouts!
I want to note that the depth and delay time of the start or finish can be set whatever you want.

You ask why all this is needed?!
Let me explain.

Why do I need depth settings and start delay time.
Usually, the athlete before the dive stands near the side or are at the buoy in the sea, preparing to dive in the pool or deep in the sea, relaxed and lowers his hand with the watch into the water, if it is deep enough the computer decides that the athlete has started his dive and the clock starts recording. After some time, the athlete really starts, and the clock continues to record, thereby incorrectly showing the time at the finish. Sometimes the athlete puts his hand down while the clock starts the recording, then before the start the athlete picks it up, pulling it out of the water (adjusting glasses, clamp), the clock stops the recording, and the person dives at this time, as a result, the dive is not recorded at all.

Why do you need depth settings and finish time.
In the Pool, during a dive or when turning from the side, the athlete sometimes rises closer to the surface for a few seconds, and at this time the watch decides that the dive is over and stops recording.

Almost all diving watches have this problem, for example Suunto.
With regards to training statics (Apnea), this function is normally not implemented anywhere.
There is an application for the phone “Apnea Trainer” so it has everything you need to train statics. You just need to transfer all this to hours.

Please send my letter to the developers so that they make the Apnea program, as described above.
