Wrong dive type detected and reported by Garmin Descent mk2s

I took 2 single gas scuba dives and both registered as apnea and apnea hunt dives. During the dive I was confused with the data because the format is all wrong and no deco info and safety stop feature were activated. When I checked post dive, it seems my dives were considered 1hr 1 dive each apnea dives. Am I missing a setting? I didn't change anything from last dive as far as i know.

Did you actually start a Single-Gas activity before you entered the water? If not then the device will default to whichever dive activity profile you used last. Next time press the Start button on the surface and select the specific activity that you want. This should be a step on your pre-dive checklist.
