HEY GARMIN! Why can't I MANUALLY add a Triathlon race on Garmin Connect?

Just ran a race and I forgot to press the transition buttons on my 920t, so I went into activity screen to manually add the triathlon race. Only problem is, is that you CAN'T do it. So now I can't add the epic race I had to all of my other data. (I am on a Macbook Pro, using Garmin Express, and all latest updates) The pull down menu options don't include the events for a triathlon race. It's really mind blowing that it doesn't.

Did I miss something?

Just to clarify, I can add my race as a SINGLE event, but not as a swim bike and run ran at the same event. So I can say I ran it in 5 hours and 7 minutes, but I can't say how long my transitions were, or how long each split was. I can only put the final time of the finish and I can list it as a single sport. Don't believe me? Try it yourself.

I would think that manually adding a race would be basic to a site like Garmin Connect. I can't be the only one that has ever got in the heat of a race and forgot to press the buttons on my watch.

This needs to be repaired right away or I'll go to a different site and so will my Triathlon team.

Once again Garmin I.T. department has failed.
  • Wow, that'll get Garmin responding immediately :)

Seriously, if you feel that is something that needs adding I suggest you post it here http://www8.garmin.com/contactUs/ideas/ and get your fellow team members to do the same as these forums are mainly user-to-user.

    1. Thanks for your smart ass comment. "Wow" yourself. How about being a bit more professional.

    2. I don't think it is something that needs adding, it's COMMON SENSE on a site like Garmin Connect! Use your head. If you just pause before hitting reply and think about what I asked for, you'll see it makes sense.

    3. I have contacted Garmin in other ways but over time they have repeatedly shown that they have 5 hands and none of them are talking to each other. It's a nightmare dealing with them so I don't have high hopes of any reply or immediate fix. You never know when some IT guy from within Garmin will stumble upon comments here, so I posted it. Perhaps a user has a fix or knows a way to do this which is why I asked; "Did I miss something?"
  • Apologies if you took that the wrong way, the smiley at the end of the line was meant to imply it was in jest not serious :)
