Custom ACTIVITY NAME & TYPE (Fenix 3 ) --> showing as "Untitled" in garmin connect???

Hello

If I create my own Activity name (Insanity training) on Fenix 3, the activity isn't shown on Garmin connect under that name (Insanity training), but is set to Untitled. Same as withy typ, showing as Uncategorized. Why is that so? Am I doing something wrong?

Why then the custom Activity names/apps for activity if they aren't displayed correctly?

If I create a custom Activity name, I would like that this app name is also showing on garmin connect. Also the option to add a different activity type (like the ones on the gramin connect page - or custom ones, not only the few ones on the watch).

And that this activity is then showing correctly on garin connect. For me that would be:
ACTIVITY NAME: Insanity training
ACTIVITY TYP: Indoor cardio

I think that I'm not the only one with that problem...Please Install this feature into the watch.

Customization means bringing you device closer to you individual needs.

Keep the good work on

Same problem here, I moved from the vivoactive to the fenix 3 incorrectly thinking that I would be able to create my own exercises and have them transfer with correct naming in garmin connect.

As a matter of fact the treadmill walk activity that i had in vivoactive is not even an option on the the fenix.

I created Kitesurfing Activity on Fenix3, but Garmin Connect shows my Kitesurfing as "Other", that is allso problem becouse I connected Garmin Connect with Endomondo acount, and now I have to rename each training on endomondo account.
On Garmin Connect I did not manage to find where this could be renamed.

For me, The best would be that Activity tipe and name would be the same on first naming of new activity.

I have the same issue, but with my garmin forerunner 630.

Has anyone figured this out? I dont know what the point in having a custom activity profile is if the profile name only shows on the watch and not in garmin connect?
  • I'd like to hear some input on this too. I'm looking at a new sports watch and custom activity types was one of the differentiating features, precisely because it would eliminate having to do some of the post-processing on activities for my log keeping. I guess maybe it was naive to assume that the custom activity type would propagate itself through the Garmin ecosystem?

Some brief googling provided some confirmation that the only activity types imported into Garmin Connect are "running", "biking" and "swimming". Anything else is just imported as "other". Not too great... I keep coming to the conclusion that all of Garmin's features are half-baked.

you can change that Untitled with the location name + Activity

you can change the Untitled to the location where the activity took place.
Go to Garmin Connect, edit Profile, Settings, Display Preferences and change the field Activity Names to Locations and Type.

    Activity Names

Changing the setting to Location + Activity has no effect on this issue.

    Bump!

Is there no fix for this yet?
