Edge 810 Upload Failed error

When completing a ride and saving the data, I receive the error message "Upload Failed". Occasionally, it will upload after several attempts. Even if the upload was successful it does not update the ride to the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone 6. I have to upload the ride via my computer for Garmin Connect app.

Also, when starting the "Live Track" function in Garmin Connect, it shows that the device (Edge 810) is not connected, although the Bluetooth settings on the phone and Edge show that it is. I normally have to power both devices off and on again to get it to show connected.
