So after looking high and low for an answer to my problem I decided to post my question on a Garmin forum (I know, what was I thinking?). I understand that as a new user I might have posted my question in the wrong section, but I don't think it would be asking too much to possibly move my post to the correct area (or let me know what area would be most helpful) rather than a snarky "you're in the wrong area so go away and we're closing this thread" response.

As sussamb said in your other post, Garmin does not offer a forum for handheld devices even though many users (including sussamb himself) have asked for one many times. Try going to the GPSreview forum or the Groundspeak forum and you will get some help.
