Fexnix3, training plan not xfring with modern connect, only workouts with old conntec

Any soln to sudden failure of connect to xfr training plans to device? I can xfr workouts via the old connect but still not into calendar.
have, hard reset, reinstalled firmware, reinstall express, removed device and reattached, same issue on apple and windows

My calendar won't xfer as well. I've deleted the .fit files from the watch via Windows Explorer. Some of the calendar goes to the "Workouts" section of the watch. Garmin Express says the watch has been successfully synced after I've told the Calendar (in Connect - Modern) to forward to watch.

Need help ASAP!

I used my 510 as a surrogate, i xferred calendar to 510 but before disconnecting 510 then dragged (from newfiles directory) and dropped the files via explorer to the fenix. end result is the workouts appear under workouts section in the fenix, i just have to check which workout is need on the day and manually select that.

A real pity to have to resort to this, i bought the fenix specifically to run using the training plans...
