Withings Scale and Garmin Connect

I was looking for an ANT+ scale that would integrate with my Garmin Forerunner 225 but was disappointed with the offerings. Instead I went with a Withings Scale. Am presently surprised and happy that through MyFitnessPal the Withings measurements are automatically being uploaded to Garmin Connect - exactly what I was looking for. I'm not getting the body fat measurement but at least I can see my calorie intake, activity and weight on the Garmin Connect web site. Would be nice if Garmin/Withings would offer integration at the app level.

Is this even possible yet? I have Withings HealthMate sync'd with MyFitnessPal and Garmin sync'd with MFP. Yet the weight does not get transferred to Garmin. I even have MapMyFitness sync'd. Is there anyway to get the weight automatically into Garmin Connect??

I'm syncing my weight from my Withings scale through MyFitnessPal to Garmin every day. Most of the time it works ok, occasionally (for some reasons especially during weekends) it seems to be broken for a couple of days and then work again (this seems to be a common problem with MyFitnessPal, not only in connection with Garmin). Sometimes triggering a manual sync from Garmin Connect gets the missing weighting.

So, it's definitely working for me (this morning, for example), but can be somewhat erratic. The MyFitnessPal's known issues list has a couple of tickets going related to Garmin (https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032625231-Known-Issues-Integration-Partners).

Interesting. I've had MFP for years and it successfully reads activities FROM Garmin, but doesn't push anything (other than calorie count) to Garmin.

I recently contacted support at MFP about the weight transfer and this was their response:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Our apologies but our integration with Garmin is not set to have Weight transfer from MFP -> connect.garmin.com We will definitely consider it for a future update though.

So I'm getting mixed info - MFP says it can't be done, members are successfully getting the transfer.

Frustrating, to say the least.

Well, Garmin's own page (https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=Re90uqqOnh30BtqHQYkoa8) says: "The information below is communicated between MyFitnessPal and Garmin Connect:... Weight added to Garmin Connect will sync to MyFitnessPal and vice versa..."

Thanks for that Bitti - I've sent a help ticket to Garmin to see if they can rectify this, referencing that support doc. :)

Well, now my Myfitnesspal->Garmin Connect weight sync has also stopped working (it has been like that for a couple of days now). The weight syncs from Withings Health Mate to MyFitnesspal, but not further.

I went back to Garmin Support and here's their response:

Hello Nick,

Thank you for contacting Garmin, unfortunately we have exhausted everything that we can do on our end to transfer the data to MyFitnessPal, the next step that you would need to take is to reach out to MyFitnessPal about the issue. This is because Garmin has very little control over issues with third party apps, and any remaining troubleshooting will need to be completed through MyFitnessPal.
