does anyone know of the feature in GC "Anonymous Data Collection" collects the ERR_LOG.TXT on the Fenix 3 and reports this back to the Fenix development team?
Virtually everything that has any connections to smartphones or the internet today does some form of anonymous data collection. You'll find you agreed to it in EULA's and other terms of use.
Software developers will frequently use error log data to help figure out what issues are happening in the "real" world.
Does anyone know if the feature in GC "Anonymous Data Collection", sends the contents of the file: "ERR_LOG.TXT" on the Fenix 3 and reports this back to the Fenix development team?
That might be a better question to ask Garmin Support. I imagine most of us would just be guessing or supposing. It might be a file they ask you to send them if you report certain issues.
