Edge 1000 won't connect to Garmin Connect

All of a sudden my Garmin Edge 1000 will not connect with Garmin Connect. I've only had the device a few days and it was working OK yesterday but now I can't connect either with the supplied USB cable or via WIFI.

I am using a MacBook Pro OSX 10.8.5, Firefox 39.0.3.

The WIFI setting on the Garmin confirm that I am connected to WIFI and I've got it on Auto Upload.

As I couldn't connect, I removed the device from my account so that I could set it up again. I plugged it in with a USB cable & it still couldn't find the device.

I then uninstalled Garmin Express & downloaded it again and still it couldn't see the device.

Any help would be appreciated.
