Ability to add pictures and notes to gear

I would like to have the ability to add to each gear item:
- picture of the gear
- free text notes

The first would be useful to fast identify visually a gear plus I think it would also be just cool. Finally it would be great to help to remember the old (retired) gear for those nostalgic moments you want to remind yourself of some great gear that once took you through some special moments.

The second feature about notes is very basic and really essential in order to use the gear feature for anything more than only tracking mileage. For example I would now like to take note of the date and odometer reading of replacing the chain and cassette on my mountain bike.

Beause this is primarily a user forum for mutual help, and Garmin does not see most of the post here at all. Use the adequate way to communicate your suggestions to Garmin. In this case it would be the form at https://www.garmin.com/forms/ideas/.

However, there are certainly thousands of diverse feature requests, so it does not mean that every idea will be promptly implemented. Garmin will decide according to the number of requests, feasability, importance, and according to many other factors.
