Reset steps count to zero? And possible to remove segment from activity?

Hi!

I am wondering if there is some possible way to reset the step counter on Garmin Connect... I was just toying around testing the Activity Tracker and synchronized it once when it had 124 steps counted and now I have that data on my Garmin Connect account but no way to reset it... Since I was just testing stuff out i dont want those steps to show up there but I cant find a way to clear the data that was synced :(

Also I am wondering if there is a way to remove segments that have been included in an activity because I really dont want them in there and would like to be able to delete them and also if there is a way to make sure they dont get automatically added into activities without my permission?

Thanks in advance!

I guess there is no option to do this? You'd think you should be able to reset stuff like amount of steps taken on Garmin Connect. I made a mistake to sync it over but it should be possible to remove the data synced imo... Just like you can remove an activity that you have synced if you dont want it there anymore!

Also I found a setting to remove myself from segments in account settings so at least I found a fix for that!
  • There is no way to add or remove steps manually. 125 steps is just about 1 minute of walking, so it's kind of insignificant

Unless the activity is a duplicate, just flag/note/name it as fiddling with settings and move on, but it was still a legit activity, even if you were testing a device. I'm a data purest though, so unless the data is somehow fraudulent, I want it there even if I was just testing/calibrating.

Segments don't publicly show unless the activity privacy default is set to everyone - I like seeing what segments I have crossed and if I want to be ranked, I switch the activity to everyone. Otherwise my privacy default is connections only, meaning I see I crossed a segment, but strangers do not. This gives me the best of both worlds - I find desirable segments and still keep my privacy for the majority of my activities.

As Jim said, for most people, 125 steps is such a small number of steps that as you use your device, it will become like a grain of sand on a beach. It really won't matter in the long run.
