Metric on Facebook and Garmin Connect

In order to see metric I have to click on Show Metric and my Facebook posts show up in Imperial. I don't want this I want it in Metric, its what Canada uses. Everyone keeps posting to tell me to post in Metric. Why can't I change the setting to default to Metric online and in the app and Facebook??? Pretty presumptuous to assume that everyone uses Imperial :(

Its to the point that I just use Walkmeter and Endomondo which negates using the watch to begin with.

Obviously Garmin doesn't care so I did my own testing. When sharing to facebook it shows up at Miles and feet, when I connect to connect I have to click show in metric.

Guess I will just call the support number today. Having the watch now is kind of pointless forcing me to use Walkmeter so I can share my walks in Metric digits.
