5 pages of Spam in the Garmin Connect Forum today.

They need to rethink their spam strategy and implement better captchas. Another page full today.

How come some forums never get spam, and yet Garmin are always plagued by it? Have been for as long as I can remember.

Actually the steps taken are largely working, I see most of the stuff not getting through but it's true that a small minority still make it.

Since most of the contributions to the forum come from genuine garmin users apart from a few numpties in the world

A possible solution would be on creation of an account for the forum you have to connect your device so it can query the unit ID no device equals no account, or in the case of people with "bricked" devices a button could be added to their GC account that has already been validated to create a forum account
