Every time I connect my Edge 800 to my computer it uploads my history to Garmin Connect. I want nothing to do with Garmin Connect, but I have to connect via Garmin Express to update my maps and every time I do this, Garmin Connect connects. How do I stop Garmin Connect from automatically sucking up all of my data?
It's not Garmin Connect you need to turn off. Your issue is going to be with Garmin Express. One thing that may help is to not let Garmin Express start automatically. There is a setting to do that in Garmin Express, but it's a little obscurely worded. I don't have a working copy of GE to tell you where I found it.
It seems like there is another way to keep it from sending your activities, but I can't think of what that was.
