Has Strava Segments been abled yet?

There is surprising little instructions in the Edge 520 manual to get Strava Segments to sync. Has this even been turned on yet? I thought the idea was to go into your (premium) Strava account and set some segments as favorites. I have done this yet they still do not appear over at the connect.garmin.com website, making syncing impossible. Am I doing something wrong?

afaik you can send activity data from garmin connect to strava http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2014/08/automatic-mapmyfitness-endomondo.html
and view segments on strava. Never heard of strava sending segments to GC but I suppose if you can export them as .tcx or .gpx GC could import them as courses.

Agreed I send all my data automatically from Connect to Strava but as far as I know it's a one-way street.

I already have Garmin forwarding my activities to Strava. That wasn't the purpose behind my question.

The new Edge 520 and, after software updates, older Edge devices will display live Strava segments as you approach or start them. In order to make it work, you are supposed to mark favorite segments in your Strava account. These should then get forwarded to connect.garmin.com where they can appear in the "Segments" section and, optionally, downloaded to your device. However, I have yet to get anything of the sort to work despite a review of the capability appearing on DCRainmaker's website. Perhaps it has only been enabled for a certain select few at the moment.

Seems like the 520 itself has the settings for strava, not the GC website. Perhaps you'd have more luck in the edge forum.

With what I showed in the first-look post, the Segments were manually side-loaded, since the device I was using wasn't tied behind the scenes. I'll ask what's up.

They've changed something in GC Modern as it has prompted me to start using Strava segments the last two days when I've logged in. Came here looking for an explanation, as I don't presently use Strava and this is the only relevant thread on the topic I can find.
