Vivosmart stuck in sync with phone and express cannot find

I am not tech savvy

That being said. For days now when I try and sync with my phone, it gets stuck in sync. It never finishes syncing, it's been 113 days now. Someone recommended I try and sync with the pc. Express never finds my device. HELP! My device is full, and is of zero use if it never records or uploads/downloads data. I have had this less than 6 months! Any help appreciated, thank you! I also never use forums, so I hope this is posted correctly.
  • If it has been 113 days, that's a lot of information to sync. It's no wonder it would take a long time. If you aren't tech savvy, it probably would be useful to have someone who is by your side. I think your situation probably needs step-by-step hand-holding.

    Since it has been so long, have you updated your vivosmart or app in all that time? Also, if you haven't synced for so long, are you just using the vivosmart as a watch and notification band? What about steps or sleep?

    I strongly suggest you telephone Garmin tech support. They can even take over your computer remotely if necessary to help you out.

    I sync it daily, the last time I tried to sync, which was 113 hours ago, it stayed at halfway synced and hasn't bugged in all that time. It will not sync on my pc either, with express. Express cannot locate my device.
  • Oh, that makes more sense. Your first post said 113 days which seemed somewhat extreme.

    I have a few suggestions about Express:


    • Does Express have the vivosmart listed or are there on devices shown at all?
    • If the device is not shown, when you put the vivosmart in the clip to connect to the vivosmart, do you press the battery icon on the vivosmart to show the second USB icon on the band? If not, that's what you need to do.
    • If the vivosmart is listed in Express, but Express doesn't find it when you try to sync, the solution is the same. When in battery charge mode, press the battery icon to show the usb icon on the band and it should find it and sync automatically.

    Done that :(

    Phil I have done all three. It just never finds my device. One day I left it searching for 3 hours and it still just kept circling looking for the device :(
  • My initial recommendation still applies. You really should phone support or you might be spinning your wheel for weeks.

    Yeah I think your right. Thanks for trying. At this point, it even being a complete reset would be something. Right now I have watch, and I have prettier watches lol. Thanks again!
