HR Zones Display MIA

I'm sure Garmin would retain and possibly even grow its customer base in the face of growing competition, except that I find things becoming less and less functional.

Most recently I tried to view an activity with heart rate zones graphed instead of BPM. In classic view this was simply a matter of clicking Zones under details -> Heart Rate. This is not the case in modern view.

I found an option in Settings -> Display Preferences for Heart Rate Display and changed it from BPM to Zones and... nothing happened. All my activities, all my mini view reports all still list heart rate in BPM and not zone.

So where are my zones based graphs? Has this feature been removed and why? What does the Heart Rate Display option do if it doesn't change the display style of heart rate data! Wouldn't Garmin's current and potential customers be happier with more features rather than less? :)
