I'm starting to get very fed up with Garmin connect - can't upload at moment. If I go into web page and try force manual upload I get "no new workouts" - Garmin connect doesn't seem to want to do them automatically so went in Forerunner 910xt force upload - starts to synch and get meesage "Re authentication required. We are having trouble linking to your garmin connect account. To continue please sign in - " and it give me sig in screen. So I do and nothing happens. so I try again and get same message. Extremely fed up with this so any help/ideas or does any one know alternative way upload to Strava direct.
Typically the "Re-authentication Required" error message in Garmin Express is due to corrupted files in the Sync folder on the computer. Once these files are deleted from your computer, the sync should perform correctly unless the corruption is with one of the activities on the Forerunner 910XT. Follow the troubleshooting in our FAQ How do I remove FIT files that fail to sync in Garmin Express from my computer? to remove the corrupted files from the computer and then try the Force Send again. I recommend removing all but the last 30 days of activities from the device unless there are more than 30 days worth that are not in Garmin Connect already.
If the Force Send still fails, the corrupted activity is still on the device. You can try to manually upload those activities in the Sync folder into Garmin Connect. The files will need to be renamed and a .fit extension added to the filename. Once the activities that can be uploaded are in Garmin Connect, I recommend master resetting your Forerunner 910XT.
