DashCam 20 and Garmin DashCam Player (Not Responding)

1st time poster. Please be patient.:p
I have a DashCam 20. I have downloaded the latest GDC player software.
I have used the GDC software before, but this was on a previous version, and it did work from there.
Whenever I try and use the player to view my stored files from the camera, it gives me the dreaded "not responding" detail.
This lasts until infinity
I Use Win7, 64bit, latest Garmin software.
Camera has latest software update as well.

I also copied the avi files direct to my computer hard drive and tried to play it from my laptop.
No success!

Anybody else with the same issues?
Any advice?

    I'm having a similar issue with a NuviCam LMTHD. I can't get Garmin Dash Cam Player software to import the videos either directly from the device, or from the hard drive. Windows "sees" the device when connected via USB. I can manually drag video clips to the computer, and they play perfectly in Quicktime. Not convenient to look at 3 min. chunks of video though. I should be able to load a folder of 3 min. clips in the Garmin player and scrub through to find what I'm lookin for. Plus I can't see the map while playing in Quicktime.
