Garmin Fit App (Android) Not showing Calories Burned

Hello This is my first post. Not sure if this is the right place but I can't find a forum specific to the Garmin Fit app. I paired a Garmin heart rate monitor to my Galaxy S5 in the Garmin Fit App. The monitor works fine and shows my heart rate. However, I was doing a P90x3 routine today and even though I selected Other Activity in the App and started the exercise period in the app, and watched the Heart Rate monitor on my screen the whole time showing my heartbeat, when I finished the routine the Garmin Fit app showed no calories burned. Does the app not record calories unless you are also tracking distance with a foot pod or cadence sensor on a bike? I mostly do P90, T25, and other routines like this and was looking forward to getting calorie data on these workouts. A friend has a Garmin FR70 watch and she certainly gets the calorie reading from just her heart rate monitor when she is doing a spin class or a similar aerobic routine. Any information would be appreciated. Thank You.
  • You should get a calories burned statistic. I can't vouch for how accurate it would be but you should get one.

The Fit app is somewhat obsolete although it does work. Perhaps check your setup both in the app and in Connect.
