Is there a simple way to set up the "Total Distance" report for each activity type (running, biking, swim, hike, etc). I would like to visually track my weekly totals for each type activity.
Thank you. I was actually looking for something simpler that I could monitor at a glace to see all the weekly totals at once. The Total Distance Report (4 week history) shows it graphically, but would appreciate seeing the actual numbers, not just the color coded bar graph. I can hover over the individual bar segments to get numbers, but hoped there was an easy way to see the totals together as such:
Thank you for sharing your calendar. For the week of the 24th, I see you rode 114.7 miles. From the daily logs, it looks like you also walked 27.03 miles that week. However, I don't see that total displayed on the same screen (I could of course switch the activity selected at the bottom, to see the walking totals separately).
Let me explain my objective: In the past I have tracked my overall workouts in a journal and, on a weekly basis, totaled my time and distance for each activity separately. I found comparing my weekly totals, by activity, helpful for cross-training comparisons to minimize "over-training" (running). I am starting back in a training mode after several years, and swimming a bit now too, so would like to once again track my cross-training. As such, I'd like to see my weekly totals, by activity, summarized together on one screen (electronically), rather than building a separate log. Hopefully this makes sense.
I'm not clear if there is a straight forward way to see the weekly totals for "ALL" activities on the same screen.
I don't know of where you can get exactly what you're looking for. That field at the bottom of the calendar will show a total of all but not the details. It's just one at a time. If you choose to view profile, you can see a graph of steps and number of activities but that doesn't get you all the way plus not all activities appear on the graph.
Steve, This is something I was looking for as well. I also use another website that sync's the data with Garmin Connect. That website shows me the weekly totals broken down by sport. I'm hoping GC will incorporate this sometime in the future.
+ 1 for weekly totals and total activity time in the mini report for the dashboard.
One more request, I would also like to have an option for the time axis in the mini report to be in hours rather than all minutes (saves me the mental maths of dividing the time by 60)
