Fenix 3 Heart Rate Data not downloading

Hi,

I had to do a default reset as when out cycling the map kept on turning off and displaying other metrics. It had been staying on map until i did something to the settings, so a reset to default fixed it.

Trouble is heart rate data is not showing up on garmin conncet after my runs. There used to be a HR option in apps nect to Run, bike, trail run etc. Its not there now.

The HRM is connected and I am able to view the heart rate, so it is working.

Also there was a recovery heart rate feature which was great, not working since the restore to default settings.

Any help much appreciated
  • If your HR information is not showing up in Garmin Connect then likely it was not present in the activity log file. Another possibility is the Garmin Connect is having some temporary issues.

If you have the original activity file, you might look at it and see if it contains HR data. .gpx and .tcx files can be viewed with a text editor. .fit files will require software such as the fitfilerepair tool. If the activity file is no longer on your device and you use Garmin Express on your computer to sync with GC, then there will be a copy somewhere on your computer.

The fenix forums seem pretty active. I'd think you'd get better information from users there. The difference between Garmin devices can be vast when you get down to trying to troubleshoot them.
