UPSET with GARMIN

I got a Forerunner 220.

I buyed it for me and my wife. We both like to run, and we used to do it with Endomondo. But a GARMIN could be a good product.

I cannot use it for two casual runners, because Garmin connect should be used online and only keeps ONE account! OMG. How can it be? 300€? For this? Because it´s social? Let me laugh... I run for fun not for say it to people.:mad::mad:

I want a PC program to manage our trainings, OFFLINE, to keep our trainings.

For 300€, I could buy two Cardio bluetooth bands, and save a lot of money. My trainings would be at Endomondo, but it´s for free.

I am really dissapointed with GARMIN. Why there is no posibility to find a simple PC program to do what I want? I will say Goodbye forever to GARMIN... Sad but true.
  • Unfortunately this is a common trend not just with Garmin but Suunto and many of the other providers. Whilst it is nice to have an online repository I much prefer a local PC copy at least. I have a Garmin 610 and use Garmin Training Centre to store my runs as well as having them on Connect and also synced to Strava. Not sure whether TC will work with the 220 but it's worth a look.
  • Endomondo and Garmin Connect can share data. I personally do that with Strava. Take a look here.

You can have more than one account in Garmin Express.

If you really want OFFLINE data, you could install the Garmin Training Center but it's only windows.
  • No, there's a Mac version of GTC. What they both are is abandoned. No telling how long they'll continue to work, but for now GTC works fine under Yosemite.

There are also other possibilities for offline. Golden Cheetah (Open Source so multi-platform) is one, and RubiTrack on OS X is another.
  • You can have multiple garmin connect accounts and use the same device with each. It takes some effort, but it can be done.
