Hourly Step count out of sync

When looking at the hourly steps taken graph on Garmin Connect Mobile, the time zone was well out of sync to my actual activity, it was tracking first steps of the day at approximately 1pm, so about 5 hours late. I checked the settings on the Connect (PC), and my time zone was set to GMT. This got corrected to my current time zone which is GMT +4, which is right for my current location, but on the same hourly graph, it is now out by about 8 hours.
Although not a major problem as daily total activities are tracked correctly, it is pretty annoying.

Can anyone help how I may sort this?
  • Is this a vivosmart? If so, long press the display to show the 3 icon display and scroll tot he clock and make sure it is set to Mobile.

Sorry, this is for a Fenix 3
  • There probably is a setting on the F3 for getting the time from the mobile device too. There is on the vivoactive, under settings>system>clock

This is very strange, and pretty frustrating.
On the GarminConnect website, everything is correct, with regards to activity times etc. The only anomaly is when using the app on my iPhone, the hourly steps are out. For example, I got up at 7:00am, walked to work at 8:00am. My activity on the hourly chart starts at 2:00pm, and I can see my walk at 3:00pm. This is more puzzling given that the sleep time reports correct times.
