"Back-Sync" Manually Added Activities to Activity Tracker

I am using a vivofit with Android device Garmin Connect.

I like the vivofit for my day to day activities...steps, calories, approximate distance, etc.

One thing I have noticed is that it appears the vivofit/Garmin Connect is a one way relationship as far as syncing. If I manually add an activity into Garmin Connect (say, weight training for 1 hour) and it gives me the estimated calorie expenditure, the calories are updated within the app as far as Active calories, but the new activity does not get "back-synced" to the vivofit, so my band read-out does not display the manually added activity.

Same thing if I go for a run with a Forerunner watch/heart rate monitor for more accurate calorie count. If I sync the Forerunner so the activity is in Garmin Connect, it would be nice if it would "back sync" to the vivofit so the calories are up to date on the band. Assuming activities are time-stamped, you could even find the distance estimation from the vivofit and "over-write" that estimate with the most recent Forerunner activity since: IE: Find the overlapping time stamps of the new activity, take the number of vivofit steps during that time frame, and determine the distance vivofit estimated. Subtract that amount of distance, add the calculated distance from the Forerunner.

Ideally, you can only have 1 device selected for an "Activity Tracker", and that one device could basically be a "portal" into your Garmin Connect summary. It is nice that it seems Garmin Connect app will be updated with activities from multiple devices and manually added activities...but being able to back-sync to your designated activity tracker makes that device all the more useful. Otherwise you really don't have much reason to look at it if you do any other activities.
