Just some comments from my first day
1)
One reason I bought the 920 was for wifi connection for uploading activity so that I didn't need to depend upon my computer.
It was unfortunate I could not set the wifi information from the watch. You need access to Windows (or Mac) and need to have administrator privileges on the Windows machine to be able to install the software required to set the wifi information (garmin express)
Would be nice if 1) you could set wifi via the watch. 2) if not then the software was available for all common operating systems (including linux) 3) if not then some effort was made to make it work under WINE 4) if not and the only option is Windows the make it install without needing admin privileges.
In the end I had to download and install an illegal copy of Windows, just to set the wifi information on my watch!
2)
Regional setting for those of us outside USA.
I assume I did things in the wrong order, but I set the distance and other common setting on the watch, then on the iphone app, then on the watch again (it seemed to have reverted to miles before I started my first run), then on the web application (garmin connect), then sync it back to the watch.
1) can we just set the settings once?
2) it would be nice to have the settings for region work a bit more globally
Basically having a 'I'm not in the US' setting and not having to change separately distance to km, weight to kg, height to cm, the first day of the week to Monday, the date format to anything but MM/DD/YYYY, bushels pecks and kennings to liters etc.
You should still keep all the options to cater for variations: different date formats, those in the UK who still like miles etc, but there should be a way of changing all options in one go.
Other than this I am happy.
