While this probably isn't a request-
I was hoping someone has some ideas/suggestions to let me do more of what I want to do with my Garmin.
I currently have a Garmin Nuvi 3590LM
I hit up pawn shops/music shops in different cities for fun
and lets say Vegas for example has about 40 of them.
I have a few custom maps of 2-3 cities in KML files...
What's the best way to input lots of destinations and
1- be able to click them in my garmin and get there
2- optimize the route
3- document/delete stuff when i know i've been there already
What i'm currently doing is using my bluetooth with my garmin- to use an android app that reads kml files to send via bluetooth the cordiance
then in that little app I delete it once i got there.
Going in and out of shops and in general the garmin/my phone loose connection A LOT- it's a hastle and all the optomizing is based on my looking at the dots on the map and guessing.
THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY!
I'm computer savy so i can convert files or download additional software and even update things manually like with a csv or other file.
Most of my work is done with google maps too
(type in pawn shop, and see what's around)
But want to focus more with the GPS and make it more friendly
(on a side note using cordinances instead of addresses makes locating and getting to the enterences of places almost impossible- sometimes it will take me to like back gate of an apartment complex that the shop is on the other side of on a different street)
anyway- any ideas or thoughts would be appriciated
If i have to buy a new gps and sell the one i have i would- or buy whatever software needed
it seems like the biking/outdoors one work better with custom maps but navigating with one of those in a car seem impossible
thank you!
