Garmin Connect not sending to device

Such a frustrating day !!!!! GARMIN Connect does not send to devices anymore. I have EDGE 1000 and FR 620 and both are totally useless at the moment as I cannot load any data, especially workouts and training plans. Can anyone give some advise what to do in this case.

In the Classic it hangs saying "Processing data to write"

In the Modern it hangs saying "Loading".

Then I have to shut down Connect to do anything else.

Same problem different outcome

Can not "Send to device"
On a Mac osx Yosemite 10.10.3 have been using Garmin Connect to Edge 510 without problem for 2 years.
About a month ago (I think) in Modern mode, when to send a course to the 510 and got;
"Previously your device talked to Garmin Connect or your computer using the Garmin Communicator Plugin™ or the Garmin ANT Agent™. Both have been replaced by the new Garmin Express™ program." "Start using Garmin Express" (I had been) I clicked the link and was linked to the down load page for Express, so I downloaded again, installed again, restarted and then tried to send to device again and got the same link page again the the down load Express AGAIN!.
I have been using Express without problems (auto update and upload ride to Garmin Connect), it can see the 510.
It looks like Modern Garmin Connect can not see the installed Garmin Express.
N.B. I went back to Classic and had no problem sending a course to the 510.

I am running Microsoft and Internet Explorer.
Uploading courses to EDGE 1000 still seems to work.
BUT sending workouts and calendar schedule to either the Edge 1000 and FR 620 is an impossibility for me. Always the same......Classic and Modern Connect just hang when trying to prepare and / or send information to devices. The same problems occurs whether I am trying to upload 1 or 80 entries to the devices.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled all programs and USB drivers but still no joy.

If Express is causing issues post in the Express forum, there are Garmin staff there frequently unlike here.
