Please can you allow for greater customisation of measurement units by providing the option to choose the unit in which each individual metric will be recorded/displayed, rather than applying a general unit system to the entire interface.
By way of example, I like to track my runs and rides in miles but measure my weight in kilograms. The three options currently available - Statute UK, Metric and Statute - do not allow me to input information in this way. As a result, I use Statute UK and weigh myself on scales in kilograms then convert the number into pounds before inputting it. I know I could just weigh myself in pounds, but it is not a unit I am overly familiar with and I find it much easier to track my progress if my weight is measured in kilograms (and even stones and pounds would be better than just pounds). Likewise, I am so used to measuring distances in miles that I cannot switch to kilometres easily.
Incidentally, I am from the UK but I wasn't aware that pounds is the "Statute UK" unit of measurement for weight. I think most people in the UK measure their weight in stones and pounds - which isn't available as an option.
Agreed. I find it super frustrating that I can't customize individual measurements to use whatever units I prefer. For instance, I like everything metric and like to see speed as miles per hour.
Agreed. I’ve just started using Garmin and I’m very surprised by the lack of customisation of units. From my previous watch I had no issues and could customise my watch to show marathon distance as 26.2 miles and my weight as 73.3 Kg
