Connect users who do not participate in segments and set their activities to private, still see segments that they (unknowingly) have crossed. The information displayed is just the nicknames of the users who did participate in these segments and their times. If all segment-participants are OK with this information being very easily available (to basically anyone using a Garmin device that uploads to Connect), there is no problem, but still, it is not relevant to display the information for users who don't participate in the segments anyway.
