Can't export an activity from Activities List Page

I am trying to export a file on to my laptop to upload in to training peaks. The help page says this:
You have a choice of formats (.TCX, .GPX or .KML) in which you can export data:
• Go to the Activities List page.
• Select Export.
• Choose a file format.
• Save the file.
BUT - when I go to the activities list page I can only see 'export to CSV' in the bottom right of the page. This seems to be grabbing ALL information but isn't uploading for me anyway.
What am I doing wrong?
Cheers

Looks like its the modern connect version that doesn't have the export button - I can export from the classic version. Frustrating.

Absolutely frustrating! Why is Garmin doing this to users? Fantastic devices but shabby web interfaces. Does it ever read the fora? I went back to Classic and could not even find this functionality there -- it's as if Garmin has intentionally made it impossible to export activities. I wish it would prove me wrong but I'm clearly not the only one with this gripe.

    UPDATE: see 3:42 PM post!
  • You have to go into the specific activity page to export using the Classic interface. The help has it wrong:

    • Go to the Activities List page. <==== NO! Go to the specific, individual activity page (in Classic only)

I just noticed that Classic also offers "Save as Course" in the Activity page (not list) -- very useful. Why oh why did Garmin remove these features from the Modern version?

UPDATE #2: SOLVED: these functions are now on the cog wheel thingy at top right in the individual Activity page.
