Every time Windows gets updates, my Garmin Express stops working

Hello, everyone.

I have an issue. I have Windows 8 on my computer, and every time it gets updates, my Garmin Express stops working.
Last time I had to re-add my device (vivofit watch) to be able to sync.
This time on top of the Windows update there were some updated to the Garmin Express, so it's even more trouble.
When I open the Garmin Express, I see 2 big buttons - Vivofit (for my watch) and + to add device. If I go to Vivofit, it sais that everythingi s up to date, but it completely ignores all my attempts to sync (yes, I am pressing the button on the watch to get SYNC, and I am holding it right next to the ANT stick).
I tried to add the device (in case it's the same issue as last time), but it just hangs up on me.

So, what do I do now?

It took me 2 reboots for the computer and a few attempts to sync before it finally worked.

There is a sub-forum exclusively for Garmin Express issues. Actual Garmin reps are helping there.
