  • also the speed

    it seems that nobody cares
  • I export GPX files after rides, which then get sent to Audax UK for validation. At some point over the last 3 weeks, they are unable to read the files for elevation. It appears to be a common problem ans has been discussed on the Audax forums.

Come on Garmin, get this issue sorted quickly please !
  • Yes, there is something wrong with GC. I have Strava conected with GE, so when the activities are loaded they are loaded inboth. When I download the GPX from Strava is correct, whe I donload it from GC is losing most of the data.

I'm wondering if Garmin uses Google's elevation data, and if they are no longer allowed to export it.

I know they display a Google map on their website, and I know they display the elevation data on the Garmin Connect site. I also know that they can export their own elevation data (in a .FIT file).

I'm wondering if it may be something like this: Google's terms of use say that the elevation data can only be used in conjunction with a Google map. By allowing you to export the elevation data, Garmin can not guarantee you are going to use the elevation data with a Google map. Therefore, exporting the elevation data violates the terms of use.

    Any Word on this?

This is a pretty big issues. Shouldn't have anything to do with Google for the original file elevation.
  • No more altitude in my export too (gpx, tcx or fit)...
My Forerunner 15 didn't record elevation data, so exports used "Elev Corrections" until now.

Stange that viewing details of old activities on Garmin Connect site missing the elevatio graph too!

    Come on Garmin....
  • Hi There,
I am having the same trouble as well. Out of the blue my Garmin 310, 910 and Edge 510 are all saying NO DATA available, when I go to Export the course into RM1 and when I try to create the course in the "old" Topo Course Creator as well. I run Windows 7, and my Computer is dedicated to Racermate.
When I view my course on my Garmin Dashboard account, it shows an ELEVATION MAP CLEAR AS , WITH ALL DETAILS THERE. Why then if ELEVATION GRAPHS ARE SHOWN , IS IT NOT ABLE TO DISPLAY ELEVATION ON THE COURSE , WHEN I IMPORT IT INTO RM1. ??? AND WHEN I USE TOPO COURSE CREATOR. IE, It shows the course as being dead flat.

COME ON GARMIN , GET IT SORTED. IM SURE THERE ARE HEAPS OF OTHER USERS OUT THERE WITH THE SAME FRUSTRATIONS.
    Thanks,
    Kiwi Boy from Down Under.

Same issue here. Brand new e510 this week. No elevation data when exported into TCX or GPX. Not happy about it. Garmin doesn't care either.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I am happy to support this product.
Exporting uploaded activity data from GarminConnect, will remove some parts of the data, including elevation data. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
Depending on the use, it may be better to access the activity data directly from the device.
