I am not sure why, when I use my Forerunner 15 and my footpod outside and have GPS turned on, the elevation data cannot be shown in the map in Garmin Connect? It would seem the elevation data can be pulled from map sources as long as the GPS data is available, yet I'm not seeing it. Maybe I'm missing something? I used my footpod for the first time on a race and PR'ed, but was disappointed to see that the elevation was missing when I synced, and it was a very hilly course.
That is correct. Map is there, but no elevation data when I have foot pod connected, even if GPS is turned on. I like having cadence info available, which is why I like using the footpod.
I'm struggling to see why this should happen - I always run with the footpod on and always can see the elevation - is the footpod being used for pace/distance or just cadence?
