Garmin Connect problem

I am so sick of this. Workout, upload the workout, Garmin ANT Agent says last transfer successful, activities were transferred to Garmin Connect, and NOTHING on garmin connect. Happens at least once a month. I've even started checking for messages about problems before starting the transfer because once it SAYS uploaded there is no way to upload it again. All I have is the history on the watch.
  • With the problem being so regular surely they can make it available to upload a workout again???
  • Unfortunately not. But just discovered two other options. One, ANT agent writes the files to a hidden directory on the computer. Accessed that directory and manually imported the file to garmin. A bit of a pain but it did work. Second is a different site, mapmyfitness.com. This site has the ability to read the garmin *.tcx files off the computer and imports them. I'm going with option 2, good bye garmin connect! :-)

UK Consumer rights - Limitations act.

I'm also sick of this. Never happened to me until a few weeks ago. It happened all day yesterday, watch uploaded to PC but none of my three events appeared. They remain on the watch but the software says no activities exist.

What's REALLY annoying is on the back of a previous reply, I was emailed next day by a 'Harry' from Garmin Europe asking me to provide watch serial no, software versions, and various other details. Well I sent them off and I've never heard anything from Harry or Garmin since. Is Garmin really interested or was that just a public relations exercise?

I don't know about the rest of Europe but here in the UK there's a piece of legislation called the Limitations act which gives the customer up to six years from date of purchase to complain (5 years in Scotland). If Garmin are not already aware of this they should be.
  • I'm not sure what your problem is but instead of just ranting you'd help yourself by explaining your problem in detail. Note if it's connected with Express please post in the Express forum .... This one is mainly user to user whereas Garmin staff are active in the Express ones.
