Never have had a problem with the old "classic view" but cannot find the upload button on the modern view to get info from my Edge 500 on to my computer. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I'm missing it for sure. Thanks for some help finding it.
To use the modern Garmin Connect you have to download and install Garmin Express. Garmin Express will automatically sync your new activities to Garmin Connect. There is no "upload" button anymore as it is not needed with Garmin Express. I used Garmin Express for awhile and it worked quite well for me. However I've quit using it as it pushes some updates to your device whether you want them or not.
How much longer the old "classic" Garmin Connect/Garmin Communicator combination will work is anyones guess. However I've found myself quite happy to just use the old Garmin Training Center and not put my rides up on the web anymore. And there are other software options such as Golden Cheetah and others that let you look at your activities without having to have an internet connection.
