syncing my vivifit

I have no been able to sync my garmin vivofit since March 4th. Any Ideas?
  • Can you be more specific?

    How are you trying to sync?
    Are you using the ANT+ stick or Connect Mobile?
    Does it not sync anything at all or do steps sync but not activities?

    I'm also having similar issue with my Vivifit from roughly same date.

    I sync each night to my mobile (Garmin Connect app) prior to changing to Sleep mode.
    Every time I do this I get an error msg with a red Fail on the phone and my Vivofit fit starts a countdown from 100. If I press the reset button on Vivofit device it says FAIL on the screen, then this disappears. The mobile app ends ups syncing and recording the data but this happens every time now - I don't know why?

    Has there been some sort of update to the Connect mobile app that I've missed or does it sound like something else?

  • The countdown to 100 is it installing new firmware. You should let that run its course. The most current firmware version is 3.7. There have been updates to Connect Mobile and Express also in the past few weeks. I'm still on an old version of express and I'll stay there for a while. Connect Android is 2.9.1. I'm not sure about iOS.
  • We had sync problem before..but 4.0.8.0 Express on win 7 PC seems to be working with vivofit very well so far ....

    I have had the same problem as redtrail since exactly March 4, having experienced the same sync problem back in February. After the latest fix from Garmin to Garmin Express software version 3.70, the vivofit synced once just fine, but since March 4, no good. Garmin Express app shows that the ANT stick is on (green light), and that the sync has been successful, but no data at all synced to my Dashboard (going through Safari-tried also through Google Chrome). I am syncing to MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.5. Thanks in advance

    I have the same problem again today. I've tried to sync twice but nothing is happening (6:00am est & 6:00 pm est). The icon indicates it's receiving information but nothing is received. This is now the 3rd time I've had an issue in just 3 months... a tad bit frustrating.

    Thanks cr10524. Seems like there's a whole bunch of spinifex blowing across the road and crickets chirping in the background with this issue. I'm not doing the 'hold down the button on the vivofit until the screen goes blank' trick again as I lost two weeks of data that way the last time this happened. Garmin Express still tells me I'm syncing, but it's more like I'm sinking, and without a statistical trace because there isn't any data being transferred! Looks like it's back to the old reliable pen and paper way of writing it down. Come on Garmin.....help?
