Exclude activity from reports and statistics

How can I
a. exclude a specific activity from reports and statistics
b. exclude GPS data of activity from reports and statistics - I run on a treadmill and GPS went crazy, it shows that I run for an hour and only 0.8km, now in reports I get average pace of 0km/hr screwing all the graph scaling

thanks!
Andrey
  • As far as "b", if you indoors and/or on a treadmill, you shouldn't be using GPS. On a tread mill, you're not really going anywhere (thus the low distance), and if you're inside, you'll only see very weak GPS signals (if any at all)

As far as "a", you can just delete the activity...

"You shouldn't" is not a good answer, as some watches do not let you choose what exactly they record..
deleting the activity is not an option either..
  • With the garmin GPS watches I've used, there has always been a way to record a run without GPS (for indoor running or on a treadmill).

There probably is a way to keep GPS off on yours too.

When I run with two watches, I keep the totals clean by going into Full Edit (or the equivalent wherever you upload to) and set Distance, Time, Elevation Gain and Calories to zero. For treadmill running without an accelerometer, you could instead manually enter whatever metrics you have for the workout.

If you specify what watch you have, I'm sure someone can explain how to turn off GPS for indoor workouts.
  • Agreed - also if you want to exclude workout from totals but don't necessarily want to delete it just set it to a different activity type

That doesn't seem to work for me - I often ride with two devices because they track slightly different things. I only want one to show up in the totals though. Tried setting the second one to Wingsuit Flying (something I am unlikely to ever be looking for totals for) but it still shows up in my ride count and distance... Which activity type did you use?
