Hi All,
Had my Fenix 3 for two days and have set up my Garmin Connect page to show a Calender hoping I could see my past activities.

Unfortunately it showing nothing.
I've just come back from a workout, sync'd successfully but still nothing is showing in Calendar!?

    I am fairly new to garmin and have a vivifit but have had some issues with the calendar. Here is what i have learned;
    1. nothing goes onto the calendar automatically with a sync. you have to enter it onto the calendar or activities list manually.
    2. you have to have the activities and workouts and goals check for your calendar to show up. There is a menu over to the left side of the screen near the top left cornerand not usually visible. I didn't know it was even there. If not visible hover around the top left of the screen and see if it opens up. Then check all the items you want to go onto your calendar

hope this helps. the calendar is far from intuitive

    Thanks,
That sucks nothing goes into it automatically.

I'm not following you on point 2.

What screen are you in and what menu. I've made the Calendar full screen but cannot see any menu where I can check items. The only thing I can see in the top left hand side is the 3 bar icon which lets you add objects to your connect pages (how I added the Calendar itself)

Update, I think I found what you are talking about, two horizontal bars top left of the Calendar when in full screen...
Now to play around with it!
  • Not with you on this - everything goes into the calendar automatically - there are checkboxes on the left of the Calendar screen to stop activity types appearing in the calendar. In the top left of the page on classic there are two vertical parallel lines - if you click on these it will show you a further pane with Goals and boxes to tick for the activity types that you want to show. I believe when you first set up connect it will default to a particular activity type depending on the device type.

Just looked in Connect Modern - that works exactly the same. There are tick boxes to show events, goals, workouts and training plans in the calendar too - this functionality has been there a long while

I think what i was referring to is that i have a vivifit which doesn't automatically add workouts etc. It wouldn't know what to add. I am sure the Fenix is much more sophisticated. I am glad that i found the vertical bars to the left of the calendar. that is very helpful

For me, nothing went in the calendar, that is way I posted this thread. I have Fenix 3.
Not until I selected the check boxes for the activities did they start appearing.

Which seems to be the same scenario as Lounparker was having.
  • @ATVMOMMA - Thank you so much! I have been using the site for 4 years and never knew that functionality was there. I could see my weekly totals but not the individual workouts for that week.

For those still confused, in the top left (to the left of the week days) is a double bar e.g. || Monday Tuesday Wednesday.

Click on the double bar and a menu will open that allows you to decide what content is displayed.
  • Have you set up what to show on the calendar you have checkboxes to tick for different activity types running, swimming etc and whether to show goals, events, workouts etc - if these boxes aren't ticked then you won't see your workouts in the calendar.

yes! thank you. so not obvious of how to make past activities show up on the calendar. thanks for the tips!
although i can't see these past activities when i publish the calendar and try to view on google calendar, I can only see scheduled trainings.
anyone have any idea how to be able to push the past workouts to gcal?
