Offline downloadable Garmin link is most needed !!!!!!!!!!!!!! for most people. This app being only an online application right now makes it unusable and non competitive. We don't want to be spied on online in real time at all times, also to avoid roaming charges when abroad. For example to see my Fenix activity on my phone, I dont understand why I must connect to the internet and share this with garmin.com ?! That is stupid and intrusive. I will rather use diffent apps and devices...
I very much agree with you but I'm afraid we are in the minority - most people seem keen to publish every detail of their life to all and sundry online :(
I use Garmin Training Centre to store stuff locally on my PC but not sure whether that will work with the Fenix
I also use sportablet uploader to store and view activities from my FR610 on my phone and sync them later with Connect when I have a wifi connection if I am roaming
