Garmin connect app: x axis with time only?

Is there a way to view the elevation graphic with the distance on the X axis, as it was before?
The time on X axis is a total nonsense...
I have the app for iOS but I notice that also in Garmin Connect website now it shows by default the graphics based on time (why????): the difference is that on the website you can toggle between time and distance for the axis, on the app not.

In the modern Garmin Connect there is a "over time" above the top left of the graphs. Hover your pointer over it and it gives you the choice of "over distance" There is similar in the old interface too, last time I looked you could set each graph individually, but it's been a while since I looked at the old GC.

i'm unable to set the x axis to a default of "distance" rather than "time" In fact, most times if i try to change the x axis to distance, the entire chart folds up

Are you in the modern GC or the classic GC? I don't see how you could be folding them up in the modern. In the classic GC at the bottom center of each chart is a selection box for "time" or "distance"
