As of yesterday my calorie intake guidance shot up to a whopping 15000 odd calories per day and this has carried over to today as well (this is the gauge at the start of the day before I've done/logged any activity), the amount goes up over the course of the day as I sync steps, activities etc.
This also throws out my MFP data when I force a sync as the Garmin adjustment forces the MFP intake up for the day as well.
Previously my calorie intake at the start of the day was around 1330...even if I squint looking into the sun I can't see how I could possibly burn the energy necessary for a 15000 daily calorie intake.
I use a vivosmart and the garmin fit app for cycling/running so I can use GPS. I also use a Timex ANT HRM when I log activities. I have MFP set to use kilojoules, don't know if the calorie/KJ conversion between the two platforms is relevant here or not.
I can't find anywhere online that this is a known issue, any help is appreciated.
P.S. Garmin - when will you provide a KJ option for us metric people in Connect?!
