problem with garmin gpsmaps 62s

hi guys

I've not used my garmin gps maps62s for a while & we decided we would go caching today which is not not going to happen because the device is not connecting to my mac, i have checked all software & thats up to date but the garmin communicator fails to find my device

Please help
