I have bought a Portapow charger form my Garmin FR10. It charges via a USB, which should be fine but it isn't. It will only charge for a few seconds before switching itself off. Any one else had this problem? Is it the Garmin or the Portapow at fault?
If it charges OK from the garmin charger then it must be a characteristic of the portapow. I've charged my garmin from a variety of USB chargers and from computers and never had this happen but I have not used a portapow. Does the unit charge other devices OK?
Does the portapow specifically say that it will work with the Garmin FR10? I suspect that the output from the portapow is not regulated sufficiently and the Garmin is shutting down to protect itself. If it charges ok from the Garmin charger and from other usb sources then it has to be the portapow at fault if it claims to be able to charge the GArmin.
