my vivofit is syncing with myfitness app but not picking up the mapmyride activity
please help

It won't. MMR goes to MFP, just as GC goes to MFP, but MFP doesn't send MMR stuff to Garmin, nor Garmin stuff to MMR. With your setup, MFP is the only place with all your data.
